Simple Tasks Can Lead to Mindfulness. Who knew?
In the Plum Village Tradition we have Bells of Mindfulness – things that bring is back to the present moment. The sound of a bell, church bells, a ringing phone are common Bells of Mindfulness. But we don’t have to limi ourselves to literal bells. We don’t even have to limit ourselves to sounds!!
Explore using a simple task to call you home to yourself. It might be putting on our shoes as I describe in the video above. Or, opening the door, locking/unlocking the door, brushing our hair, brushing our teeth, washing our face, drinking a sip of water. You get the drift. The possibilities are endless.
